Job Description :
Chef is responsible for planning and preparing healthy, nutritious meals for students and staff. They manage daily food production, ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards, track inventory, and accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies.
Key Responsibility :
Meal Preparation:
Cook high-quality meals in bulk according to standardized recipes and nutritional guidelines.Food Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a spotless kitchen, enforce HACCP protocols, and ensure food is stored and served at the correct temperatures.Dietary
Accommodations:
Modify recipes for students with allergies (e.g., nut-free, gluten-free) or religious and ethical dietary requirements.Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, rotate food supplies, and prevent food waste.
Team Collaboration: Coordinate with nutritionists and the school administration to design appealing weekly menus.
Qualifications & RequirementsExperience:
Previous experience in institutional catering, school mess management, or commercial kitchens.Certifications: Food handler's permit or food safety certification is mandatory. Formal culinary training is a strong plus.Skills: Strong multitasking and volume-cooking skills, combined with patience and a welcoming demeanor toward students.
