Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Structural Draftsman to prepare accurate structural drawings and detailing for residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of AutoCAD, 2D drafting, and structural drawing preparation, with the ability to work closely with structural engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality drawings within project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare structural drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop detailed 2D structural drawings based on engineer's design inputs.
- Prepare RCC and steel structural drawings.
- Revise drawings based on engineer and client feedback.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other disciplines to avoid drawing conflicts.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and applicable standards.
- Maintain drawing revisions and project documentation.
- Check drawings for accuracy, dimensions, and completeness before submission.
- Assist in preparing structural details and construction drawings.
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining drawing quality.
- Utilize AI-powered tools to improve drafting efficiency, automate routine tasks, and enhance overall productivity.
Requirements
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or B.E. in Civil Engineering.
- 6 Months – 1 Year of experience as a Structural Draftsman.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Proficient in 2D drafting.
- Experience in preparing structural drawings (RCC and Steel drawings preferred).
- Basic understanding of structural engineering concepts and construction drawings.
- Ability to interpret structural layouts, sketches, and engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic knowledge of AI-assisted drafting and productivity tools (such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar AI tools) will be an added advantage.
