We are seeking a skilled Network Support Engineer with strong hands-on experience in networking hardware, switch configuration, and firewall support. The ideal candidate should have CCNA-level knowledge and be capable of maintaining a secure, reliable network infrastructure in a hospital environment.
HIS experience is Mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Configure and manage managed switches (VLANs, STP, trunking, port security)
- Provide firewall support including rule configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring
- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and security
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and connectivity issues
- Coordinate with vendors and ISPs for network-related issues
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and inventory
- Ensure network security best practices and compliance with hospital IT policies
- Provide on-call or shift-based support as required
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Graduate in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge (mandatory/preferred)
Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in network support or network administration
- Experience in hospital / healthcare environment will be an added advantage
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of networking hardware (Cisco/HP/Aruba or equivalent)
- Switch configuration and troubleshooting
- Firewall support (FortiGate, Sophos, Cisco, or similar)
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs
- Basic knowledge of network security and access control
- Understanding of structured cabling and network racks
