This is a builder's role, not a governance checkbox role. We are looking for someone who started their career in security — not migrated into it from IT or engineering mid-career — and who has spent the last decade building security functions, programs, and teams from scratch inside high-growth technology companies, ideally in fintech or payments.
You will own Lenskart's security posture end-to-end: product, infrastructure, data, payments, and people — across 18 countries with materially different regulatory regimes. You will also be the person who ensures AI adoption across both technology functions and non-tech business operations (store operations, supply chain, optometry, customer experience, HR) is governed, risk-assessed, auditable, and safe.
You will be Lenskart's first dedicated Lead CISO — building the security function that protects a $9B+ tech-native unicorn serving 50M+ users across 18 countries, with direct access to the CEO and CTO and a seat at the table where technology and business decisions are made.
