Job Summary
Lere Academy is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor with at least 1 year of professional experience to join our content and marketing team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about storytelling through video and capable of producing engaging content for social media, YouTube, advertisements, and digital marketing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit high-quality short-form and long-form videos for social media platforms, YouTube, and marketing campaigns.
- Create engaging reels, promotional videos, educational content, and advertisements.
- Add transitions, motion graphics, text animations, sound effects, background music, and color correction to enhance video quality.
- Collaborate with the content, marketing, and design teams to develop compelling visual content.
- Ensure videos align with the company's branding and content strategy.
- Organize and manage video assets and maintain project files efficiently.
- Optimize videos for different platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and websites.
- Stay updated with the latest video editing trends, tools, and social media content formats.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Video Editor or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar video editing software.
- Strong understanding of video composition, pacing, color grading, audio editing, and storytelling.
- Experience creating content for social media and digital marketing campaigns.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation is an added advantage.
- Creative mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- A strong portfolio or showreel showcasing previous work is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Multimedia, Film Production, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- Experience in the education, digital marketing, or advertising industry is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Canva is a plus.
