About the role
With over 2 years of experience, an E-commerce Executive transitions from basic data entry and coordination to owning daily operations, analyzing performance, and optimizing conversions. At this stage, they are expected to work with minimal supervision and actively drive online sales growth.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Catalog & Listing Management
Advanced Listing Optimization: Manage and optimize product listings across brand websites (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, etc.).
SEO & Content Quality:Ensure high-quality product images, detailed descriptions, proper categorization, and keyword-rich titles to improve organic search visibility.
Pricing & Inventory Control: Maintain real-time stock accuracy across multiple channels, monitor inventory health (aging stock), and update pricing/promotions accurately.
2. Campaign Strategy & Promotion Execution
Deal Coordination: Plan and execute marketplace events (e.g., Great Indian Festival, Big Billion Days) and running brand-specific coupon codes, flash sales, and discounts.
Ad Operations:Assist in setting up, monitoring, and optimizing sponsored ads (Amazon Ads, Flipkart PLA, Meta/Google Ads) to maintain a healthy Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).
3. Order Fulfillment & Operations Coordination
SLA Compliance:Oversee the end-to-end order fulfillment process to ensure shipping timelines and platform guidelines are strictly met.
Logistics & Returns Management: Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) partners and warehouse teams to track shipments, minimize Return-to-Origin (RTO) rates, and manage customer returns/refunds efficiently.
4. Data Analytics & Reporting
Performance Tracking: Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance, traffic metrics, and conversion rates using Google Analytics and marketplace dashboards.
Competitor Intelligence: Keep a close eye on competitor pricing, product launches, and promotional strategies to recommend actionable adjustments.
5. Customer Experience & Platform Health Account Health Management: Maintain excellent account health metrics on marketplaces by swiftly resolving customer disputes, managing negative feedback, and raising brand registry claims when necessary.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the graphics team for banners, the content team for product copy, and customer support to streamline the user journey.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
To evaluate a candidate with this experience level, you would typically track: Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) / Revenue growth Listing Conversion Rate (CR) Return to Origin (RTO) and Order Defect Rates Ad Spend Efficiency (ROAS / ACoS)
