Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new products, assemblies, and components based on customer and business requirements.
- Prepare detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering change notes (ECNs), and revision records.
- Ensure designs comply with manufacturing, quality, and safety standards.
- Optimize product designs for cost, quality, and ease of manufacturing (DFM/DFA).
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Quality, and Project teams during product development.
- Support prototype development, testing, validation, and product improvements.
- Resolve design-related issues during production and implement corrective
actions.
- Conduct design reviews and recommend improvements to existing products.
- Work with suppliers for component development and technical clarification.
- Lead value engineering and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Mentor and guide junior design engineers.
- Ensure projects are completed within timelines and budgets.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles.
- Expertise in Sheet Metal, Fabrication, Welding, Machining, and Assembly processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, CATIA, or Solid Edge.
- Good understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering standards.
- Experience in preparing BOMs and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and engineering change management.
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards and manufacturing practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
