We are looking for an experienced and quality-focused Quality Engineer for our Automotive Plastic Injection Moulding and Assembly operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in maintaining product quality, reducing rejections, improving processes, handling customer quality requirements, and ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards.
The candidate should be proactive, capable of independently handling quality activities, and work closely with Production, Tool Room and Assembly teams to ensure zero-defect manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure quality control throughout Injection Moulding and Assembly processes.
- Conduct First Piece Approval (FPA), In-Process Inspection (IPQC), Final Inspection (FQC) and Incoming Inspection (IQC).
- Analyze and reduce rejection, rework and customer complaints.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis and implement CAPA.
- Monitor dimensional, visual and functional quality of components.
- Maintain Quality Documentation as per customer and ISO/IATF requirements.
- Prepare and maintain Inspection Reports, Control Plans, SOPs and Work Instructions.
- Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, Maintenance and Assembly teams for process improvements.
- Handle customer audits, internal audits and supplier quality issues.
- Ensure proper calibration of measuring instruments.
- Monitor process capability and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train operators and inspectors on quality standards and defect prevention.
- Drive Kaizen, Poka-Yoke and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve product quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping and quality procedures.
