Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's accounting processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all accounting transactions.
- Prepare budget forecasts and financial reports.
- Publish accurate financial statements on time.
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure timely and accurate bank payments.
- Create and maintain balance sheets.
- Oversee taxation processes, including GST and TDS compliance.
- Handle all annual, monthly, and quarterly filings.
- Maintain and monitor bank statements.
- Settle costs on balance sheets.
- Manage invoices and compute taxes.
- Prepare and submit tax returns.
- Audit financial transactions and documents.
- Report on the companys financial health and liquidity.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial data and conduct database backups.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Travel to banking locations or other work locations as and when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in Tally software.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and GAAP.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., FreshBooks, QuickBooks).
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
- Experience with general ledger functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Additional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
