We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality MIG welding on metal components, ensuring adherence to engineering drawings, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and other metal components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Set up and operate MIG welding equipment efficiently.
- Inspect welded joints to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Grind, finish, and clean welded parts as required.
- Maintain welding equipment and perform routine maintenance.
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or material defects to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Required Qualifications
- ITI in Welder/Fitter/Fabrication or equivalent qualification.
- MIG Welding Certification is preferred.
- Basic understanding of welding processes and fabrication techniques.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding.
- Ability to read technical drawings and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments (Vernier caliper, measuring tape, etc.).
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in MIG welding in manufacturing, fabrication, automotive, or heavy engineering industries.
- Freshers with relevant training or certification may also be considered.
