Roles and Responsibilities of a TGT English Teacher (CBSE & Cambridge School)Academic Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with CBSE and Cambridge curriculum requirements.
- Teach English Language, Literature, Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking skills.
- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and learning resources.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication among students.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
Assessment and Evaluation
- Design and conduct formative and summative assessments.
- Evaluate students' assignments, projects, classwork, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve student performance.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress.
- Prepare report cards and progress reports as per school guidelines.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive learning environment.
- Establish classroom rules and ensure student adherence.
- Promote respect, collaboration, and active participation among students.
- Address behavioral concerns appropriately and communicate with parents when necessary.
Student Development
- Foster students' confidence in public speaking, presentation, and communication skills.
- Encourage reading habits through library activities, book reviews, and literary discussions.
- Guide students in debates, elocution, creative writing, storytelling, and other literary activities.
- Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Curriculum and Professional Responsibilities
- Participate in curriculum planning, review, and development.
- Attend staff meetings, training programs, workshops, and professional development sessions.
- Stay updated with CBSE and Cambridge curriculum changes and teaching practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
Parent Communication
- Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
- Communicate students' academic progress and behavioral concerns to parents.
- Provide guidance and support to parents regarding students' learning needs.
Co-Curricular Responsibilities
- Organize and participate in literary events, competitions, assemblies, and school functions.
- Assist in conducting school activities, examinations, and special programs.
- Mentor students in clubs, projects, and extracurricular activities related to English and communication.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain lesson plans, assessment records, and student portfolios.
- Complete assigned school documentation and reports on time.
- Support examination duties, invigilation, and other school-related responsibilities.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
