Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from patients accurately and safely.
- Practice proper patient identification, especially in hospital settings.
- Label vials with patient names, dates, and other necessary information.
- Determine the best method for blood collection based on patient needs.
- Transport all specimens to the laboratory promptly.
- Centrifuge blood samples, if permitted by state regulations.
- Handle a large and diverse patient population, ensuring comfort and care.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Qualification: BMLT or DMLT or certified from a recognized Skill Centre.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years (minimum 6 months internship may also be considered).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of phlebotomy procedures and safety standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
