Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions accurately.
- Maintain ledgers, journals, and accounting records.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Calculate taxes and assist with tax filing.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Support audits by preparing required financial documents.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Basic Knowledge Required
- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and journal entries.
- Familiarity with financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, Cash Flow Statement).
- Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, and taxation (where applicable).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, PivotTables, basic reporting).
- Experience with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP (preferred).
- Basic understanding of payroll processing.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
- Relevant internship or accounting experience is an advantage.
