Responsibilities:
As a Product Manager I, you will play a pivotal role in improving the developer experience through strategic management of platform engineering products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in tools such as workstations, IDEs, and AI solutions like GitHub Copilot. This is an outstanding opportunity to expand your product management skills while contributing to significant efficiency and cost optimization initiatives.

Develop a foundational understanding of the products you own and their connection to the broader engineering experience.

Align product strategy with enterprise-level engineering enablement goals, with mentorship from senior PMs and leadership.

Build empathy for PFG engineers as primary users by understanding their challenges with workstation setup, IDE licensing, and AI tooling adoption.

Participate in product discovery activities to identify and frame problems worth solving.

Contribute to managing the product backlog in Jira, writing clear user stories with acceptance criteria, and ensuring backlog transparency.

Participate in sprint ceremonies, answer questions, and help ensure features are successfully implemented.

Monitor product health using performance indicators and metrics, recognizing their connection to strategic outcomes.

Build relationships with key collaborators including IS Workspaces, Enterprise Procurement, IAM, and vendor contacts.

Learn the fundamentals of vendor and license management, including renewal cycles, cost structures, and usage tracking.
Understand and operate within the Product Management framework (Strategy Discovery Delivery- Assessment).

Track product health metrics and make decisions about the product based on data.

Understand dependencies with other teams and products, ensuring seamless integration and operation.

Engage in continuous personal growth through training series, foundational practices, and seeking mentorship.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (B.E. / B.Tech / M.S. / M.Tech / MCA).

Demonstrated ability in product management.

Nice to have: DevOps or equivalent experience and Cloud (AWS/Azure) skills.
