Job Title: Product Cost Assistant Manager / Manager

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Product Cost Assistant Manager / Manager to lead accurate product costing, cost control, and profitability analysis for a leading capacitor manufacturing company. This is a critical role that works closely with Production, Purchase, R&D, and Sales teams to build a strong costing system and support data-driven business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed Cost Sheets and Standard Costs for all MPP Capacitor product variants.
- Prepare and update Bill of Materials (BOM) in coordination with Production & R&D teams.
- Calculate Direct Material, Direct Labour, Machine Hour Rates (MHR), and Overhead Absorption Rates.
- Perform monthly Variance Analysis (Material, Labour, Overhead) and provide root cause insights.
- Conduct Product Profitability Analysis by SKU, customer, and channel.
- Support pricing decisions, make-or-buy analysis, and product rationalization.
- Handle inventory valuation (RM, WIP, FG) and prepare COGM & COGS statements.
- Manage costing module in ERP/SAP – including standard cost updates, BOM, and routing.
- Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and present findings to management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in Standard Costing, Variance Analysis, Overhead Allocation & Absorption.
- Advanced knowledge of BOM Management, Product Costing, and Inventory Valuation.
- Hands-on experience with ERP / SAP Costing Module.
- Expert level in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Dashboards).
- Experience in manufacturing / industrial environment is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Cost Audit requirements and Indian Accounting Standards.
- Power BI / Data Visualization is a plus.
Education: CA / ICWA / CMA / MBA-Finance / M.Com with relevant experience.
Preferred Profile:
- 5–10 years of experience in Product Costing / Management Accounting in Manufacturing.
- Prior experience in Electrical / Electronics / Capacitor / Engineering industry will be a strong advantage.
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and drive process improvements.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
