Job Summary:
We are seeking a responsible and experienced cook to prepare nutritious, hygienic, and patient-friendly meals as per prescribed dietary guidelines. The candidate will support patient recovery by ensuring high-quality food service in a clean and safe hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals based on doctor-prescribed diet plans.
- Ensure food is suitable for patients with specific medical conditions.
- Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Follow hospital food safety protocols.
- Prepare meals on time for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Monitor food quality, taste, and nutritional value.
- Maintain kitchen inventory and proper storage.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure portion control.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and workspace.
- Coordinate with dietitians and hospital staff.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Cook (hospital experience preferred).
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets (diabetic, low-salt, soft diet, etc.).
- Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.
- Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
