Job Title: Senior Engineer - RDBMS

Overview
We are looking for a Senior Engineer with strong expertise in RDBMS and SQL to join our team. Our application relies on a mature relational data model with a large installed customer base in financial sector. You will work closely with both application developers and customers’ database teams to ensure high performance, data integrity, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relational databases (primarily MS SQL and Oracle) interacting with Java-based backend services.
- Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database interactions.
- Collaborate with database specialists from customers to evolve and improve the existing data model.
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks across the application and database layers.
- Design and maintain efficient database structures and relationships, improvements in schema refactoring, data migration, and query optimization initiatives.
- Contribute to technical vision, design discussions and technical documentation.
- Support release deployments and production issue resolution, troubleshoot database issues and ensure high availability of systems
Qualifications
- 5+ years of strong experience in relational databases (primarily MS SQL and Oracle).
- Solid understanding of data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience working with large or legacy data models.
- Familiarity with Git, DevOps and AI tools.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication collaborate with customers, developers, QA teams, and project managers during development cycles.
