Job Summary
The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating electrical system designs for substations, renewable energy projects, industrial plants, and power infrastructure projects. The role includes detailed engineering activities such as preparation of drawings, calculations, equipment sizing, BOQ preparation, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and review of Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts, and schematic drawings.
* Perform electrical design calculations including:
* Cable sizing
* Earthing and grounding calculations
* CT/PT sizing
* Voltage drop calculations
* Fault level calculations
* Preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and material specifications.
* Design and review of control and power cable schedules.
* Preparation of equipment layouts, trench layouts, and earthing layouts.
* Coordination with civil, mechanical, and protection teams for design integration.
* Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with project requirements.
* Ensure designs comply with relevant IEC, IEEE, IS, and utility standards.
* Support project execution, commissioning, and technical clarification activities.
* Preparation of technical documents, reports, and engineering deliverables.
* Participate in design review meetings and client discussions.
Required Skills
* Knowledge of electrical system design for substations, solar, wind, or BESS projects.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
* Familiarity with ETAP, E-Tap, or other electrical design software is preferred.
* Understanding of HV/MV/LV systems and protection schemes.
* Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and IS standards.
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication and coordination abilities.
Qualification
* Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Experience
* 1–2 years of experience in electrical design engineering for power or renewable energy projects.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹750,000.00 per year
