Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive PPC Engineer to plan, coordinate, and monitor production activities to ensure timely delivery, optimal resource utilization, and efficient inventory management. The ideal candidate will work closely with production, procurement, stores, and quality teams to achieve production targets while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and demand forecasts.
- Schedule production activities to optimize machine capacity, manpower, and material availability.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to meet delivery commitments.
Production Control
- Track work orders and ensure production is completed as per the plan.
- Monitor production efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.
Inventory & Material Coordination
- Coordinate with the procurement and stores teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
- Minimize material shortages and excess inventory through effective planning.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare production reports, capacity utilization reports, and delivery status reports.
- Maintain accurate production records, planning documents, and ERP/MRP data.
- Analyze production performance and recommend process improvements.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with procurement, quality, maintenance, stores, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Support new product introductions and production planning for engineering changes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Production Planning & Control (PPC) in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or 5S methodologies.
- Understanding of BOM (Bill of Materials), routing, and production scheduling.
- Ability to analyze production data and prepare management reports.
