Job Summary
The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for supporting the Science Department in conducting practical sessions and maintaining laboratory equipment and materials for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology labs. The role ensures that the labs are safe, clean, well-stocked, and fully operational for student use. The Lab Assistant plays a key role in helping teachers demonstrate scientific concepts through experiments and in maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience working in a school or educational laboratory (preferred but not mandatory for fresher’s with strong technical skills).
Skills and Attributes
- Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and experimental procedures.
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills for lab instruments.
- Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and hazard handling in a laboratory environment.
Work Environment
- Primarily based in school science laboratories with exposure to chemicals, biological specimens, and electrical equipment.
- May involve occasional lifting of lab equipment and supplies.
