Key Responsibilities
- Eye Examinations: Conduct routine and comprehensive eye tests to assess visual acuity, depth perception, and eye health.
- Diagnostics: Identify and diagnose sight problems (e.g., astigmatism, myopia) and ocular diseases (e.g., glaucoma, macular degeneration).
- Prescriptions: Prescribe and fit eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids.
- Therapy & Treatment: Prescribe medications for eye diseases, provide vision therapy, and perform minor surgical procedures (depending on regional or state licensing laws).
- Systemic Disease Detection: Evaluate eyes for signs of broader medical conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure.
- Pre- and Post-Operative Care: Monitor patients who have undergone eye surgeries.
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
