Job Title: PPC Executive
Department: Production Planning & Control (PPC)
Reporting To: Production Manager
Job Summary
The PPC Executive is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring production activities to ensure timely completion of customer orders while optimizing production capacity, inventory, and resources. The role requires close coordination with Merchandising, Production, Dyeing, Quality, Stores, Procurement, and Dispatch departments to achieve on-time delivery with the desired quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and delivery commitments.
- Develop production schedules considering machine capacity, manpower, and material availability.
- Prioritize production orders to meet customer delivery timelines.
- Monitor production capacity utilization and recommend improvements.
Production Control
- Track order-wise production progress from fabric to finished fabric.
- Monitor each stage of production including dyeing, finishing, inspection, packing, and dispatch.
- Identify production bottlenecks and coordinate corrective actions with concerned departments.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and escalate delays promptly.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Merchandising regarding order priorities and customer requirements.
- Liaise with Dyeing, Weaving, Processing, Quality, Stores, Procurement, and Dispatch teams for smooth workflow.
- Follow up with external job work vendors to ensure timely completion of outsourced processes.
Material Planning
- Ensure timely availability of greige fabric, yarn, dyes, chemicals, packing materials, and other production inputs.
- Coordinate with the Procurement and Stores teams to prevent material shortages.
- Monitor inventory levels and minimize excess stock.
MIS & Reporting
- Maintain order tracking sheets and production status reports.
- Prepare daily production reports, WIP (Work-in-Progress) reports, pending order reports, and dispatch status.
- Update ERP/MIS with production progress and inventory movement.
- Present production performance reports to management.
Quality & Delivery
- Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Monitor rejections, rework, and production losses, and initiate corrective actions.
- Ensure timely completion of customer orders with the required quality standards.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze production efficiency and suggest process improvements.
- Support initiatives to reduce production lead time, improve productivity, and optimize resource utilization.
- Participate in production review meetings and follow up on action items.
Compliance & Safety
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and quality management systems.
- Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance for audit and traceability purposes.
- Promote workplace discipline and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in PPC within a fabric textile manufacturing or processing industry.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of textile manufacturing and fabric processing.
- Understanding of production planning, capacity planning, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/MRP systems, and production reporting.
- Excellent analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
