About the Role
We are looking for skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technicians to join our Service Organization. The role involves installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support for industrial equipment at customer sites across India and internationally.
This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy hands-on technical work, solving complex engineering problems, and traveling extensively while working with global customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, and start-up of industrial equipment at customer locations.
- Execute preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
- Provide post-sales technical support both on-site and remotely.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electromechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues.
- Conduct customer training and on-the-job technical training at customer sites.
- Independently plan and execute service visits, including travel preparation, documentation, and service reporting.
- Travel frequently across domestic and international customer locations for installations, maintenance, commissioning, and training.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism while representing the company at customer sites.
- Follow company safety procedures, quality standards, and operational guidelines.
Required Skills & Technical Competencies
- Experience in industrial field service, maintenance, automation, or electromechanical equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electromechanical systems.
- Practical knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery, including:
- Basic PLC diagnostics
- I/O troubleshooting
- Automation system interaction
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as:
- Profinet
- Ethernet/IP
- Fieldbus concepts
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Electrical drawings
- Mechanical drawings
- Pneumatic diagrams
- Equipment layout drawings
- Hands-on experience with:
- Motors
- Drives
- Sensors
- Actuators
- Mechanical assemblies
- Calibration activities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
- Professional working proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a multicultural environment.
Education
- ITE or Diploma in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
Experience
- Junior Field Service Technician: Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial field service environment.
- Senior Field Service Technician: Minimum 5 years of relevant field service experience.
