JD – Shift incharge (FMCG)

Company Website - https://www.wenders.com The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion.
Responsibilities
- Manage a single shift to ensure planned output and daily KPI targets (tons of delivery per day).
- Maximize utilization of machinery and manpower through effective planning to meet customer quality and service levels.
- Ensure dispatches of consignments as per monthly export schedules without delays. Control wastage of products and packing materials due to machine faults or mishandling Ensure production of high-quality products that meet company standards with zero internal or external rejections.
- Promote and maintain high standards of personal hygiene among workers and on the shop floor.
- Coordinate with housekeeping to maintain hygiene levels Allocate manpower to process areas and plan work to achieve hourly and daily production targets without incurring overtime costs.
- Manage manpower resources effectively to meet delivery requirements and support lean manufacturing principles.
- Handle all shift-related personnel issues, including union interactions, in line with company policy.
- Monitor time and attendance as per company procedures.
- Liaise and coordinate with support functions for production planning, resource allocation, and skills deployment to ensure timely delivery within quality specifications.
- Ensure production reports/log sheets are maintained and verified daily.
- Ensure ERP entries are completed for each process stage daily.
- Report and act on plant or machinery breakdowns promptly in coordination with the Maintenance team and Production Head.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
- Lead daily stand-up meetings with direct reports and other departments •
- Actively identify and solve problems using structured root cause analysis.
- Complete assigned tasks within set deadlines
- Take responsibility for raising and resolving issues and concerns.
- Provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring to team members.
