Responsibilities:
- Analyze equipment (Process Equipment) specifications and requirements to determine project costs.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, considering materials, labor, and overheads.
- Utilize cost estimation software and tools effectively.
- Assist in the preparation of technical and commercial proposals.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to develop comprehensive proposals.
- Ensure proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned with client needs.
- Evaluate RFQs (Request for Quotations) and tender documents.
- Develop bidding strategies and pricing models.
- Participate in bid reviews and negotiations.
- Support project managers during the project initiation phase.
- Provide inputs on project feasibility and cost optimization.
- Coordinate with procurement and engineering teams to clarify project requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline estimation processes.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in cost estimation.
- Contribute to the enhancement of estimating tools and databases.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven 10+ years of experience as an Estimation Engineer in Static Equipment / Process equipment manufacturing or a related industry.
- Proficiency in cost estimation techniques and software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
