We are looking for a Jr. Engineer – Purchase to support direct procurement of mechanical components used in machine manufacturing and assembly. The role involves vendor coordination, material follow-up, sourcing, and vendor development to ensure timely availability of materials as per production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle direct purchase of mechanical parts and components used in machine manufacturing and assembly.
- Coordinate with vendors for material availability, delivery schedules, and order status.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Support sourcing and development of new vendors for required mechanical components.
- Assist in arranging critical and urgent parts to meet production requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Production, Stores, Quality, and Engineering for material requirements.
- Maintain purchase-related records, follow-ups, and vendor information.
- Support price comparison, quotation collection, and basic commercial evaluation.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing processes.
- Interest in direct purchase and procurement.
- Good vendor coordination and follow-up skills.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and handle urgent material requirements.
Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹460,000.00 per year
