We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Sourcing & Vendor Management Executive based in Jaipur to help us build a network of high-quality artisan and manufacturing partners for our luxury gifting and home décor collections.
The role involves identifying, evaluating and managing suppliers across various craft categories while ensuring quality, timelines and competitive pricing.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and onboard new vendors and artisan partners in Jaipur and surrounding regions.
- Work with suppliers of:
- Hand block print textiles
- Ceramic and pottery products
- Miniature paintings and traditional artworks
- Handmade paper products
- Wooden and metal craft items
- Luxury packaging manufacturers
- Gift box and stationery suppliers
- Visit workshops and factories to assess quality and production capabilities.
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times and payment terms.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Coordinate sampling and product development.
- Track production timelines and follow up with suppliers.
- Identify new craft clusters, artisans, and unique product opportunities.
- Prepare vendor databases, quotations, and sourcing reports.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and delivery commitments.
Requirements
- 1+ year experience in sourcing, procurement, merchandising, vendor management or artisan development.
- Strong knowledge of Jaipur's handicraft and artisan ecosystem.
- Familiarity with block printing, ceramics, miniature art, packaging, textiles or home décor products is preferred.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Comfortable traveling within Jaipur and nearby craft clusters.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple suppliers.
- Basic proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
Preferred Candidate
- Background in handicrafts, home décor, gifting, textiles or artisan products.
- Existing network of suppliers and manufacturers in Jaipur.
- Passion for Indian crafts, design and artisan-made products.
