As a Business Development Executive for the Buildings AI Partnership Program, you will drive the growth of our Building & HVAC product partner ecosystem. Buildings AI is our whole-building performance simulation platform, and its HVAC Canvas lets manufacturers' sales and applications teams demonstrate product to clients and showcase value to drive partnerships.
Your mission is to onboard manufacturers of Building & HVAC products onto the platform: identifying the right partners, reaching their key decision-makers, scheduling meetings, delivering live demos of HVAC Canvas, and shepherding each partner from first conversation through to live integration. You will own the end-to-end partnership funnel and be measured on signed, onboarded partners. Every manufacturer you bring in strengthens the flywheel — their products live in HVAC Canvas, designers specify them more often, win-rates rise, and more manufacturers want in.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the end-to-end B2B partnership lifecycle — from identifying and prospecting target Building & HVAC product manufacturers to negotiating and closing partnership deals.

Reach and engage key decision-makers at Building & HVAC product manufacturers (VP/Director of Product Management, Applications Engineering, Sales, and Digital) via email, LinkedIn, calls, and industry events, and convert them into scheduled discovery meetings.

Act as a technical consultant during the sales process, conducting live demonstrations of Buildings AI and HVAC Canvas — product selection, performance curves, and the partner value proposition.

Manage integration and onboarding by collaborating with the partner's teams and our internal engineering team to ensure smooth product-data integration and a successful go-live.

Achieve or exceed partner onboarding targets and build long-term, strategic relationships with Building & HVAC product partners.

Maintain an accurate pipeline and partner database (contact, stage, tier, next action), and report activity, conversion, and market feedback to the team.

Stay current with Building & HVAC industry trends, product categories, standards (e.g., ASHRAE), and competing CFD/load-calculation and product-selection tools.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of independent B2B sales, business development, or partnerships experience, ideally within the HVAC or building products industry or SaaS for the industrial sector.

Proven record of generating meetings from cold outreach and running product demos.

Proficiency with CRM tools, strong organizational skills, and willingness to travel for client engagement.

Experience representing a company at industry events (e.g., ASHRAE, trade shows).
Sales and Management Tools

Proficiency with leading CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) is mandatory for managing relationships, tracking pipeline, forecasting, and reporting performance.

B.E./BTech or M.E./MTech in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or related fields.
