Job Summary
We are looking for a Site Execution Engineer to take responsibility for the supervision and coordination of civil and structural construction activities. The role requires regular monitoring of site work, quality checks, resource planning, contractor coordination, safety supervision, and progress reporting.
The successful candidate should be technically capable, organized, and comfortable managing day-to-day construction operations at the project site.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise civil and structural works and ensure execution is carried out as per approved drawings and project specifications.
- Inspect reinforcement arrangements before concrete work and verify Bar Bending Schedule requirements.
- Coordinate with the site team before concrete placement and ensure necessary reinforcement and formwork checks are completed.
- Monitor concrete quality-control activities, including slump testing and cube testing.
- Check delivered construction materials for quantity, quality, and conformity with approved specifications.
- Maintain records of cement, aggregates, reinforcement steel, and other materials used at the project.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material requirements with suppliers and project management.
- Plan daily site activities and distribute work among available manpower.
- Supervise subcontractors and monitor the quality and progress of their work.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, project managers, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
- Maintain daily site reports, progress records, material consumption details, and project documentation.
- Monitor planned versus actual progress and communicate delays or execution issues to the concerned team.
- Assist in maintaining project schedules and material usage plans.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the work area.
- Ensure workers and site personnel follow appropriate PPE and safety practices.
- Identify potential site hazards and take corrective measures to reduce safety risks.
- Ensure construction activities follow applicable building regulations, environmental requirements, approved plans, and permit conditions.
- Support the project management team in resolving technical, material, manpower, and execution-related issues.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant experience in civil construction/site execution is preferred.
- Knowledge of structural and reinforcement activities.
- Familiarity with Bar Bending Schedules and reinforcement inspection.
- Knowledge of basic concrete testing and quality-control procedures.
- Experience in material monitoring and site inventory management.
- Ability to coordinate workers, subcontractors, and multiple site activities.
- Good reporting and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Knowledge of construction safety and PPE requirements.
- Practical approach to solving site-level problems.
