Job Description
Team Leadership & Management Lead and manage a team of FP&A analysts or associates, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to deadlines. Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to build financial modeling and analysis capabilities within the team. Conduct regular performance reviews and align team goals with broader finance objectives. 2. Budgeting & Forecasting Oversee the preparation, consolidation, and review of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plans. Ensure alignment between financial forecasts and strategic business goals. Coordinate inputs from various departments and business units. 3. Financial Analysis & Insights Deliver actionable insights through variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast), trend analysis, and scenario modeling. Support business decisions with ROI analysis, profitability assessments, and sensitivity analysis. Highlight financial risks, opportunities, and performance drivers. 4. Reporting & Dashboards Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial and management reports, dashboards, and executive presentations. Review and validate reports to ensure consistency and clarity in financial communication. Automate and streamline reporting processes where possible. 5. Business Partnering Act as a financial advisor to key business stakeholders (e.g., operations, sales, marketing). Provide financial support for strategic initiatives, cost control, pricing, and investment decisions. Facilitate discussions that bridge finance and non-finance teams. 6. Process Improvement & Standardization Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, templates, and reporting tools. Identify automation and efficiency opportunities (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Anaplan, or Excel macros). Ensure process documentation is updated and shared across the team. 7. Compliance & Governance Ensure FP&A processes comply with internal controls, financial policies, and audit requirements. Maintain data integrity and accuracy across all planning and reporting systems. Support finance leadership with audit and board-related data as needed. 8. Stakeholder Communication Present financial results and analysis to finance leadership and department heads. Participate in regular business reviews and strategy sessions. Translate financial data into insights that influence operational and strategic decisions. 9. Tool & System Management Oversee usage and optimization of FP&A tools (e.g., SAP BPC, Oracle Hyperion, Anaplan). Work with IT and systems teams to enhance FP&A system functionality and reporting capabilities.
