Purchase Manager oversees the entire procurement process, sourcing high-quality goods—food, beverage, linens, and guest supplies—at competitive prices to ensure operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include negotiating vendor contracts, managing inventory levels, maintaining quality control, and reducing procurement costs while supporting hotel departments.
Core Responsibilities and Duties
- Procurement and Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts and terms to secure the best quality products.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, and optimize inventory turnover to minimize storage costs.
- Supplier Relations: Maintain strong relationships with vendors, evaluating their performance and resolving issues related to delivery or quality.
- Cost Control: Analyze market trends to predict price fluctuations and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all purchasing complies with company policies, local regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Operational Coordination: Collaborate with departments (F&B, housekeeping, engineering) to identify their requirements and ensure timely delivery.
