We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee the organization's accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to manage financial processes efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial statements and accounting records.
- Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
- Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory returns within prescribed timelines.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve business performance.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial planning.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff and review their work.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com/M.Com).
- CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, income tax, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally Prime, SAP, Oracle, or ERP systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
