Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive WordPress Website Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our WordPress websites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring website performance, security, uptime, content updates, plugin management, and overall user experience. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of WordPress best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Website Management & Maintenance
- Manage and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Perform regular website updates, including WordPress core, themes, and plugins. Monitor website functionality and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Implement and maintain website backups and disaster recovery procedures. Ensure website compatibility across browsers and devices.
Security & Performance
- Monitor website security and implement best practices to prevent vulnerabilities. Conduct regular security audits and malware scans.
- Optimize website speed, performance, and loading times.
Content Administration
- Publish, update, and organize website content.
- Create and manage pages, posts, menus, forms, and media assets.
- Ensure content accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Coordinate with marketing and content teams for website updates and campaigns.
SEO & Analytics
- Implement basic on-page SEO best practices.
- Monitor website analytics and performance metrics.
- Generate reports on website traffic, user engagement, and technical performance.
- Support SEO initiatives including metadata management, redirects, and sitemap maintenance.
Technical Support
- Troubleshoot website issues and provide support to internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with hosting providers, developers, and third-party vendors when necessary.
- Test new features, plugins, and integrations before deployment.
- Maintain documentation of website configurations, procedures, and updates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience managing WordPress websites.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS, themes, plugins, and page builders.
- Experience with website hosting environments and domain management.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with website security practices and backup solutions.
- Experience with SEO tools and Google Analytics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager and Search Console.
- Experience with website performance optimization tools.
- Understanding of accessibility and UX best practices.
