Job Description – SAP Merchandiser InternAbout the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented SAP Merchandiser Intern to join our Merchandising team. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates who are interested in garment merchandising, production planning, and ERP systems. The intern will gain hands-on experience in SAP-based merchandising operations while working closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Merchandising team with day-to-day SAP data entry and maintenance.
- Create and update purchase orders, material masters, and production-related information in SAP.
- Support order tracking, production planning, and delivery coordination.
- Maintain accurate records of buyer orders, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and style information.
- Coordinate with Fabric, Planning, Production, and Stores teams to ensure timely updates.
- Generate and maintain SAP reports related to merchandising activities.
- Verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies in SAP transactions.
- Assist in preparing MIS reports and documentation.
- Support sample tracking and order status updates.
- Perform other merchandising and administrative tasks assigned by the reporting manager.
Educational Qualification
Candidates recently completed a Degree/Diploma in any of the following are preferred:
- Fashion Technology
- Apparel Production
- Textile Technology
- Fashion Merchandising
- Apparel Management
- B.Com
- BBA
- MBA (Operations/Supply Chain)
- Any relevant degree
Skills Required
- Basic understanding of merchandising processes.
- Knowledge of SAP ERP is preferred (training or academic exposure is acceptable).
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of garment manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of BOM, Purchase Orders, and Production Planning.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Knowledge of MS Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and basic formulas.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
