Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Social Science Teacher for Primary Grade Students. The teacher will be responsible for teaching subjects such as History, Geography, and Civics, helping students understand society, culture, and the world around them through engaging and interactive lessons.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Social Science lessons for primary grade students.
- Teach subjects including History, Geography, and Civics according to the curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, activities, assignments, and assessments.
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking and awareness of social issues.
- Use maps, charts, and interactive teaching methods to enhance learning.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress through tests and class activities.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Participate in school meetings, academic planning, and school activities.
- Communicate student progress with parents when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science / History / Geography or related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
- 1–3 years of teaching experience in primary or middle grades (preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Good subject knowledge in Social Science.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to make lessons engaging and interactive.
- Organizational and planning skills.
