Job Title: Junior Accountant
Job Summary:
The Junior Accountant is responsible for supporting the finance and accounting department by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain petty cash records and monitor cash transactions.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and statutory regulations.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
- Maintain organized financial files and supporting documents.
- Perform data entry and update accounting software accurately.
- Support senior accountants and the finance manager with various accounting tasks.
- Carry out other finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of accounting experience (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or Tally.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
