Position Summary
The Dean – Academics & Accreditations shall provide strategic and operational leadership for all academic programmes of IFIM Institutions. The Dean will ensure excellence in curriculum design, teaching-learning processes, faculty deployment, academic quality assurance, regulatory compliance, institutional accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role is responsible for establishing a culture of academic excellence, innovation, accountability, and outcome-based education aligned with the vision and mission of the institution.
Key Responsibility Areas
1: Academic Leadership
- Provide academic leadership across all UG and PG programmes.
- Ensure effective implementation of the academic calendar.
- Oversee curriculum planning and revision.
- Introduce innovative pedagogical practices.
- Ensure Outcome Based Education (OBE) implementation.
- Ensure interdisciplinary learning initiatives.
- Monitor programme effectiveness.
2: Curriculum Development
- Lead Board of Studies and support in the functioning of activities.
- Benchmark curriculum against top institutions.
- Introduce industry-relevant electives.
- Integrate employability skills.
- Promote experiential learning.
- Ensure NEP compliance.
3: Faculty Planning & Workload Management
- Faculty workload allocation.
- Teaching load optimization.
- Faculty utilization planning.
- Faculty recruitment planning.
- Monitor faculty productivity.
- Mentor Programme Heads.
4: Academic Operations
- Preparation of academic calendar.
- Time table approval.
- Academic monitoring.
- Attendance review.
- Course file compliance.
- Lesson plan monitoring.
- Internal assessment compliance.
5: Teaching Learning Quality
- Classroom observations.
- Promote innovative teaching.
- Faculty mentoring.
- Student learning assessment.

6: Accreditation & Quality Assurance
- Lead IQAC.
- Coordinate NAAC activities.
- NBA compliance (where applicable).
- NIRF data coordination.
- AISHE data submission.
- AQAR preparation.
- Academic audits.
- Continuous quality improvement.

The Dean shall ensure:
- Academic calendar prepared and implemented before commencement of every semester.
- Zero delays in timetable, workload allocation, lesson plans, and course file preparation.
- Curriculum revision completed within prescribed timelines.
- Effective implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE).
- Timely conduct of academic audits and closure of action points.
- IQAC meetings conducted as per schedule, with AQAR submitted on time.
- Complete readiness for NAAC, NBA (where applicable), NIRF, AISHE, and other statutory requirements.
- Robust faculty development plan with measurable outcomes.
- Improved student academic performance, progression, and satisfaction.
- Continuous improvement through benchmarking, innovation, and academic quality initiatives.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum 15 years of teaching experience in higher education.
- At least 5 years in an academic leadership role (Dean, Principal, HoD, Academic Director, or equivalent).
- Proven experience with NAAC, IQAC, OBE, NEP implementation, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in curriculum design, academic planning, faculty development, and institutional quality assurance.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and strategic planning skills.
Pay: Up to ₹2,000,000.00 per year
