About Position:
VDI Architect should focus on bringing the BestClass VDI Services that creates Business Value for our customers, a great personalized service experience for end users and build a work culture of innovation & collaboration to harness the potential of our employees and partners.
Each VDI Architect will also collaborate with the track leads and SDMs in the delivery organization and other groups like Presales, Sale within the Organization to ensure that service meets expected levels of service and that continual improvement and service excellence are core to the ways of working. VDI Architect should have worked upon Merger and Acquisition projects.

What You'll Do:
- Lead and Support/Guide in RFP, Solution Defense, large scale Transition and Transformation Projects.
- Having UpToDate knowledge of the latest and niche technologies.
- Should have hands on experience on the technologies listed under Technical Skills
- Lead and mentor a team of VDI specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and technical expertise.
- Working closely with Presales/Sales team on the opportunities of New and Existing projects.
- Working closely with delivery teams, implement standard best practice in target accounts to deliver consistent service delivery and exception customer satisfaction
- Build strong and lasting relationships with internal and external customers, and key delivery partners by meeting with them on a regular basis to listen to their needs and concerns, to discuss our service roadmaps and evangelise Persistent capability
- Align our Service Delivery process to meet the client business requirements on a continual basis & foster solution innovation to solve client issues
- Reduce the cost of delivery by standardization of Service Delivery processes and technology solutions
- Implement standard governance, reporting and escalation processes across responsible accounts
- For assigned projects ensure successful execution of Due Diligence and Transition to BAU
- Coach Track Leads and SMEs in assigned accounts focusing on both technical and management capabilities
- Strong focus on hybrid cloud and landing zone architecture
- Develop and govern High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and reference architectures
- Lead / assist architecture governance discussion, design reviews and approvals
- Lead large-scale VDI transformation programs (On-prem to cloud / Hybrid adoption / Data Center consolidation / Carve-Out)
- Provide governance oversight to L3/L4 engineering and operations teams (Capacity, Utilization, Platform health)
Expertise You'll Bring:
- Solution Architecture: Design scalable, secure, and resilient virtual desktop architectures using Citrix DaaS (Cloud) and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Cloud Migration: Lead the transition from on-premises Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop environments to Azure-hosted or hybrid models.
- Infrastructure Management: Architect and manage the underlying Azure components, including Virtual Networks (VNets), Storage (Azure Files/NetApp Files for FSLogix), and Resource Groups.
- Image & Performance Optimization: Develop and maintain "Golden Images." Optimize performance using Citrix HDX protocols and AVD multi-session Windows 10/11.
- Identity & Access: Implement secure access frameworks using Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Conditional Access, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Automation: Utilize PowerShell, Terraform, or Bicep to automate environment provisioning, scaling, and routine maintenance.
- Cost Management: Implement auto-scaling (Citrix Autoscale / AVD Scaling Tool) to optimize Azure consumption costs.
- L3/L4 Support: Act as the highest point of escalation for complex performance issues, session drops, or infrastructure failures
- Core Virtualization:
- Citrix Stack: Expertise in Citrix Cloud, Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Gateway (ADC/NetScaler), and StoreFront.
- Microsoft AVD: Deep knowledge of AVD host pools, workspaces, and app attach.
- Profile Management: Extensive experience with FSLogix (Profile/Office Containers) and Citrix Profile Management (UPM).
- Cloud & Infrastructure:
- Microsoft Azure: Strong understanding of Azure IaaS (Compute, Storage, Networking).
- Networking: Knowledge of ExpressRoute, Site-to-Site VPN, Load Balancing, and SD-WAN.
- Operating Systems: Expert-level Windows Server (2019/2022) and Windows 10/11 Multi-session administration.
