We are seeking an experienced and skilled Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work while following technical drawings, safety procedures, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, solid knowledge of welding techniques, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding according to project requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, tools, and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Inspect welds and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Measure, cut, fit, and fabricate metal components as required.
- Identify and repair welding defects or fabrication issues.
- Maintain welding equipment and report any faults or maintenance requirements.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work closely with supervisors, fabricators, and other team members to meet production deadlines.
- Complete work accurately while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Welder or Fabricator.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and welding specifications.
- Good understanding of workplace safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work in a demanding industrial environment.
- Welding certification or relevant technical qualification is preferred.
- Experience with structural steel, stainless steel, aluminium, or other metals is an advantage.
