- Equipment Preparation: Assemble, sanitize, and test dialysis machines and dialyzers prior to use to ensure proper performance.
- Patient Monitoring: Assess patient vital signs, adjust fluid removal rates, and monitor for adverse reactions during the procedure.
- Direct Patient Care: Prepare access sites, insert needles/catheters, explain the procedure, and provide emotional support and education.
- Record Keeping: Update patient medical records, track treatment outcomes, and maintain equipment maintenance logs.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside registered nurses and nephrologists to execute individualized patient care plans.
