Job Summary:
The Raw Material Inward Store Assistant is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming raw materials used in electrical manufacturing. The role ensures accurate documentation, proper storage, and coordination with quality and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:1. Material Receiving (Inward):
- Receive raw materials such as cables, wires, components, panels, hardware, etc.
- Verify materials against Purchase Orders (PO), Delivery Challans, and Invoices
- Check quantity, part number, and specifications
2. Inspection & Quality Coordination:
- Perform initial visual inspection of materials
- Coordinate with Quality (QC) team for detailed inspection
- Segregate accepted and rejected materials
3. Documentation & ERP Entry:
- Prepare Goods Receipt Note (GRN)
- Enter inward details into ERP system accurately
- Maintain records of inward materials and supplier details
4. Storage & Handling:
- Store materials in proper locations as per category
- Ensure proper labeling and identification
- Follow FIFO (First In First Out) / FEFO if applicable
5. Inventory Control:
- Assist in stock verification and audits
- Monitor material availability and report shortages
- Maintain bin cards / stock registers
6. Coordination:
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Production, and QC departments
- Inform concerned teams about material arrival and status
Required Qualifications:
- SSC/ITI / Diploma / Any Degree
- Preferred: Electrical / Electronics background
Skills Required:
- Basic knowledge of electrical raw materials (wires, switches, panels, etc.)
- ERP / data entry knowledge
- MS Excel basics
- Good organizational skills
- Attention to detail
Experience:
- 1–2 years in Store / Warehouse / Manufacturing
- Freshers can apply (with basic knowledge)
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to handle physical material movement
- Basic understanding of inventory systems
- Discipline and responsibility in handling materials
