Job Summary
We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in STAAD Pro for structural analysis and design. The candidate will be responsible for independently handling design tasks, supporting project delivery, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, and code-compliant structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design using STAAD Pro
- Design RCC and steel structures (industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects)
- Prepare detailed calculation reports and design documentation
- Perform load calculations (dead, live, wind, seismic) as per relevant codes
- Review and validate structural models and drawings
- Coordinate with architects, MEP teams, and project stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with IS codes (IS 456, IS 800, IS 875, IS 1893, etc.)
- Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness and safety
- Support senior engineers in design reviews and project planning
- Assist in resolving site-related structural queries
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 4–5 years of experience in structural design and analysis
- Strong hands-on expertise in STAAD Pro
- Good understanding of RCC and steel design concepts
- Working knowledge of IS codes and design standards
- Ability to independently handle assigned design tasks
Preferred Skills
- Experience with tools like AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, or Tekla
- Exposure to foundation design and connection detailing
- Experience in industrial or EPC projects
- Familiarity with international codes (AISC, Eurocodes)
- Strong knowledge of RCC and steel structure design
- Hands-on experience with commercial and residential building projects
- Proficient in Indian Standards, including but not limited to:
- IS 456 Plain & Reinforced Concrete
- IS 800 Steel Structures
- IS 875 (Part 15) – Loads
- IS 1893 – Seismic Design
- IS 13920 – Ductile Detailing
- Experience with structural analysis and design software such as:
- ETABS / STAAD / SAFE / SAP2000 (any or combination)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit Structure is an advantage.
