Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor with strong expertise in sheet metal manufacturing and fabrication processes to oversee daily production operations, ensure quality standards, and achieve production targets efficiently. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in sheet metal production, team supervision, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage day-to-day production activities in the sheet metal manufacturing unit
- Monitor production schedules to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Oversee sheet metal fabrication processes including cutting, bending, punching, welding, assembly, and finishing
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and production specifications
- Coordinate with planning, quality, maintenance, and dispatch teams
- Monitor machine performance and ensure minimal downtime
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce wastage
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Train and guide shop floor workers and operators
- Prepare daily production reports and maintain documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Mandatory experience in Sheet Metal Manufacturing/Fabrication
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal machines such as:
- CNC Punching Machines
- Laser Cutting Machines
- Press Brake
- Welding Equipment
- Ability to read technical drawings and production layouts
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of production planning and quality control processes
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in handling a production team
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices
- Good communication and coordination skills
