> Planning the QC activities on daily and weekly basis in coordination with production department
>> Knowledge of WPS, PQR will be preferred
>> Candidate shall be well conversant with ASME Code Section 9
>> Knowledge of welding processes like TIG, SAW, GTAW, etc will be prerequisite
>> NDT Level 1 is a must
(DP, MPT, RT, UT)
>>NDT Level 2 will be preferable
>>Candidate will be heading to QC dept and leading the QC team and technicians on day to day tasks
>> Candidate will be directly reporting to the management
>> Shall have knowledge of QC aspects of pressure vessel fabrication
> Coordinate with production department for various stages and inspection of jobs as per below.
> Stage-wise inspection protocol for QC:
- Inward raw material (RM) checking physically, material identification and material stamping.
- Inward RM NDT like DP, UT, PMI etc. and lab testing like impact, tensile, etc as the case may be.
- Witness of lab testing on case to case basis wherever required (to be coordinated with management and with vendor by the QC Engineer / Head).
- Stage inspection of material marking with respect to dimensions prior to cutting activity, especially for shell diagonal, dish pressing blank diameter, etc.
- Stage inspection of rolled / pressed items like shells, cones, dish, rings, etc. for dimensions, DP, UT, etc. as applicable.
- Stage inspection of all fit-ups prior to welding. Fit-up templates may be used as applicable on case to case basis.
- Stage inspection of all weld joints (either partial or full) with respect to DP, UT, RT, etc. as applicable on case to case basis.
- Stage inspection w.r.t. dimensions of finished job.
> Witness of Hydrotest when offered by production department. Generate Hydrotest report with signature of respective department heads, photographs etc.
> Ensure that only calibrated instruments and gauges are used for hydro-testing. Needs to coordinate with maintenance department for getting instruments and gauges calibrated. The Sr. No. and Calibration date is to be mentioned in Hydrotest report.
> Generate dispatch inspection report prior to dispatch of items. Report consist of visual observations, dimensional variances (if any), surface finish observations, painting related observations, etc. Should coordinate with production and design department for drawings and any pending activity that needs to be carried out to meet our QC norms.
> Coordination with stores as well as production department to ensure that only those components / equipment which have passed our QC protocol are being dispatched.
> Coordination with outside Vendors:
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
