Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to oversee shop-floor fabrication activities in an automation manufacturing setup. The candidate must have strong knowledge of welding, fitting, and drawing interpretation, and should be capable of handling manpower and production targets efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily fabrication activities on shop floor
- Manage team of welders, fitters, and helpers
- Ensure work as per engineering drawings and specifications
- Plan and allocate daily production tasks
- Monitor production targets and deadlines
- Ensure proper welding quality (MIG, TIG, Arc welding)
- Check fit-up, alignment, and dimensional accuracy
- Coordinate with design and production departments
- Maintain material control and minimize wastage
- Ensure proper use of tools, machines, and equipment
- Maintain discipline and safety standards on shop floor
- Handle shift operations (12-hour duty) efficiently
- Report daily progress to Production Manager
Key Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, Arc)
- Experience in fabrication & structure assembly
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Good knowledge of measuring instruments
- Leadership and team handling skills
- Problem-solving ability on shop floor
- Knowledge of safety practices (PPE, welding safety)
Educational Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant field
Preferred Experience
- 5–8 years in fabrication or automation industry
- Experience handling shop-floor team
Salary
- As per experience and company standards
