Job Title: Lead - Credit Sales
Industry: Export Financing for Agri Exporters
Location: Mumbai, with extensive travel to Nashik, Sangli, Solapur and other agri-export clusters
Reports to: Founders / Head of Agrify Capital
Work Type: Full-time (Onsite)
Compensation: Up to 50K per month
Role Overview:
- We are looking for a Credit Sales Lead to drive adoption of Agrify Capital's export financing products among Indian agri exporters with a primary focus on pomegranate, grapes and other fresh and processed agri commodities.
- You will own the exporter acquisition funnel end-to-end: identifying and reaching out to exporters, pitching export factoring, structuring deals, and converting them into active, repeat borrowers on the platform.
- This is a founding commercial role in a fast-growing fintech vertical, with direct exposure to the founders and full ownership of a revenue line.
Key Responsibilities:
Exporter Acquisition & Outreach
- Build and own a pipeline of agri exporters starting with pomegranate and grape exporters in Maharashtra (Nashik, Sangli, Solapur, Baramati belts), expanding to other commodities and geographies.
- Drive outbound outreach through field visits, mandi and packhouse networks, exporter associations (APEDA-registered exporters, grape exporter bodies), trade fairs and buyer–seller meets.
- Qualify exporters on export volumes, buyer geographies, invoice sizes and financing needs.
Deal Origination & Conversion
- Pitch Agrify Capital's export factoring proposition: invoice discounting up to 80%, 24-hour disbursal, credit insured receivables.
- Cross-sell Agrify Verify (buyer verification) and Agrify Protect (payment risk coverage) as part of the financing conversation.
- Collect and coordinate documentation for onboarding, credit assessment and limit setup, working closely with credit/risk teams and financing partners.
- Structure deals within approved pricing and risk frameworks and negotiate commercial terms.
Portfolio Growth & Relationship Management
- Convert first-time borrowers into repeat users across seasons and commodities; grow wallet share per exporter.
- Maintain ongoing relationships to capture seasonal financing cycles (grapes Dec–Apr; pomegranate near year round).
- Gather market intelligence on exporter pain points, competing financiers and pricing benchmarks; feed insights back into product and pricing.
Reporting & Process
- Maintain a disciplined CRM/pipeline with weekly reporting on outreach, conversions, disbursals and revenue.
- Coordinate with operations, credit and partner institutions to ensure smooth disbursal and repayment cycles.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Number of exporters onboarded and activated per quarter.
- Invoice financing volume disbursed (GMV financed).
- Revenue from financing fees and cross-sold products.
- Repeat usage rate / exporter retention across seasons.
- Pipeline health: outreach-to-onboarding conversion ratio.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Must-have
- 4–8 years in credit sales, trade finance, invoice discounting, SME lending or agri-finance ideally with an NBFC, bank trade desk, factoring company or fintech.
- Strong understanding of export trade flows: LCs, DA/DP terms, invoice factoring, receivables and FEMA basics.
- Proven track record of originating and closing credit or lending deals with SMEs or exporters.
- Willingness to travel extensively to agri-export clusters and work in the field.
- Fluency in Hindi and English; Marathi strongly preferred.
Good-to-have
- Existing network among agri exporters, CHAs, freight forwarders or the APEDA ecosystem.
- Familiarity with fresh produce export dynamics (pomegranate, grapes, onion, mango) and seasonal cycles.
- Experience working with trade credit insurance (e.g., Coface, ECGC).
Traits
- Hunter mindset comfortable with cold outreach and long field days.
- Commercially sharp; able to explain financing economics simply to first-time borrowers.
- High ownership; thrives in an early-stage, target-driven environment.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
