- Core Duties: Perform root canal therapy, handle pulp infections, execute retreatments, and perform apicoectomies.
- Key Focus: Save natural teeth using micro-surgical tools and manage acute dental trauma.
- Requirement: BDS and MDS in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics.
Prosthodontist (Restoration & Replacement)
- Core Duties: Design and fit crowns, bridges, complete/partial dentures, and veneers.
- Key Focus: Place dental implants, treat TMJ jaw disorders, and restore oral function.
- Requirement: BDS and MDS in Prosthodontics.
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon (OMFS)
- Core Duties: Perform complex surgical extractions, wisdom tooth removal, and corrective jaw (orthognathic) surgery.
- Key Focus: Treat facial trauma, fractures, pathology/cysts, and administer advanced anesthesia/sedation.
- Requirement: BDS and MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Orthodontist (Braces & Alignment)
