We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ISBM Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within our Integrated Steel and Blast Furnace Manufacturing (ISBM) facility. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, motor controls, and adherence to ent safety protocols to ensure continuous and efficient plant operations.
- Perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance on all electrical equipment and systems, including motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and control panels, to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical faults and malfunctions in industrial machinery, control systems, and power distribution networks using various testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Execute corrective maintenance actions, including repair, replacement, and calibration of electrical components, wiring, and control devices.
- Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to facilitate effective troubleshooting and repairs.
- Install new electrical equipment and systems, ensuring proper wiring, connections, and compliance with all relevant electrical codes and safety standards.
- Program, modify, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to optimize machine performance and resolve operational issues.
- Work with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Soft Starters, including installation, parameter setting, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure strict adherence to all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash safety, and confined space entry protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and equipment status in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Collaborate effectively with mechanical maintenance teams, production operators, and engineers to identify root causes of failures and implement long-term solutions.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and provide timely and effective resolutions to restore production operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements to electrical systems and maintenance procedures.
