TCS Inviting Application – Visualization SME – Tableau Developer
EXP Range: 6 to 12 year

Key Responsibilities
Role Summary
Responsible for designing, developing, and delivering highquality enterprise BI dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau and Power BI, supported by strong SQLbased data preparation. The role focuses on analytics consumption, insight storytelling, and decision enablement, especially for marketing, ecommerce, and experimentation use cases.
Responsibilities
Visualization & Dashboard Development
- Design and develop interactive, executiveready dashboards using Tableau and/or Power BI, aligned to business KPIs and decision workflows
- Translate business and analytics requirements into effective visual stories, applying best practices in charting, layout, usability, and insight narration
- Build selfservice BI assets, semantic layers, and certified datasets to enable faster decisionmaking
- Optimize dashboard performance, load times, and refresh cycles through efficient data models and extracts
- Implement rowlevel security, data access controls, and governance standards across BI platforms
Data Preparation & SQL
- Design, develop, manage, and maintain Tableau extracts and BI data sources based on requirements from BI developers and BI Data Manager
- Write complex, performant SQL queries to build and optimize datasets for dashboards and reporting
- Optimize existing data sources to meet extract refresh, dashboard responsiveness, and SLA requirements
- Partner with Data Integration / Warehouse teams to clarify data definitions, logic, and lineage
Quality, Validation & Stakeholder Engagement
- Perform QC/QA and UAT of dashboards and data sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and trust
- Independently validate and triangulate insights, trends, and anomalies before stakeholder consumption
- Work closely with analytics, campaign, and experimentation teams to embed insights into Test & Learn, personalization, and performance measurement workflows&nbs p;
- Troubleshoot, track, and resolve daytoday BI and dashboard issues in a fastmoving environment
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field
- 5–7 years of experience in BI, analytics, data visualization, or decision support roles
Technical Skills
- Strong handson experience with Tableau (Desktop, Server) and/or Power BI (Desktop, Service)
- Advanced SQL proficiency; experience working with large, complex datasets (Teradata experience is a plus)
- Solid understanding of data visualization principles, dashboard UX, and executive storytelling
- Experience building dashboards for marketing, ecommerce, experimentation, and performance measurement (conversion, ROI, lift, funnels)
