A Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) of Economics instructs senior secondary students (Classes 11 & 12) in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Statistics, and Indian Economic Development. The role focuses on delivering curriculum, preparing pupils for board examinations, and fostering strong analytical and real-world decision-making skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Instruct Classes 11 and 12 using board-approved syllabi (such as CBSE, ICSE, or State Board).
- Student Assessment: Design and grade assessments, tests, projects, and assignments to track academic progress.
- Exam Preparation: Equip students for board examinations and competitive test pathways like CUET.
- Skill Development: Encourage critical thinking by connecting theoretical economic models to current global and regional financial trends.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Master's degree in Economics (M.A. / M.Sc.) along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication, proficiency in digital classrooms/smart boards, and classroom management skills.
- Experience: Typically requires 1 to 5 years of senior secondary teaching experience, depending on the specific institution.
